They have created large enclosed pressurised environments, inside which they support artificial atmospheres
I think the idea of these domes is to conduct a range of experiments inside the atmospheres of other planets
I am inside on of the smaller domes first, which is about the size of a large hollowed-out convention centre
I am taken on some type of conveyor belt along the large middle supporting arch
Up top in the middle, there is room containing some type of library, that I think are various experiments
Next I am taken on an aircraft, inside one of the large domes
This dome is massive. And I mean MASSIVE
You would easily fit a city like New York inside this dome
Inside, they have created the artificial atmosphere of another planet
We fly over a jungle of plants growing within the dome, up through the clouds
I think I may work for the Government or something, because it feels like I am inspecting the facility and asking them ask sorts of questions about it
I voice my concerns about what such a massive concentation of gases could do, if something went wrong and they were to somehow escape
They explained to me how the artificial weather systems worked inside the dome
And how they had the ability to inject rain, whilst repressurising the dome to match the outside atmosphere, within minutes
This means all the gases in the air would fall to earth as liquid in the "rain", if the dome did depressurise for some reason
I asked them about the run-off of those liquids and was told that it would have minimal impact on the world if it did happen. It would be limited locally, just around the dome. And they had done environmental impact studied regarding the plant and animal life that could die. It was factored into location of where they choose to build the facilities
I am flying through the alien clouds inside the dome and it is beautiful
I can see the rays of the sun shining through the clouds inside the dome
But the most amazing thing is the sound
They call it "The song". It has to do with the resonant frequencies of the gases in the atmosphere
It emits a constant frequency of sound, that is different to what we normally hear on Earth
It sounds like the clouds are singing as we fly through them. It is amazing
